Three ways to split a PDF
- Extract a page range — pull selected pages (for example
2,7,9-12) into one new PDF. Ideal for saving the pages that matter from a long report. - Split into single pages — every page becomes its own PDF, downloaded individually or as one ZIP archive.
- Split every N pages — break a long document into equal chunks (for example 10 pages per file), useful for email attachments with size caps.
Common uses
Extracting a signed page from a contract, separating chapters of an ebook, breaking a scanned batch into individual invoices, or trimming a slide deck down to the pages you will present. Because the split happens on your device, sensitive documents never travel over the network.
Frequently asked questions
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not yet — a dedicated unlock tool is on the roadmap. Remove the password with your own software first, then come back.
Do the split files lose quality?
No. Splitting copies the original page streams into new documents. Text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
What happens to very large PDFs?
The tool works entirely in memory, so the limit is your device's RAM rather than an artificial cap. A typical desktop browser handles documents of hundreds of megabytes without trouble.
